We recommend using Helsi Red Light Therapy no more than 15-minutes in any one session, 4-10 times per week. Take at least one day off each week. Red light therapy is generally considered safe for most people, however overuse can lead to tissue and cell damage. There is also risk to eye damage if protective eyewear is not worn, or from Red Light Therapy overuse.
Red Light Therapy can result in detoxification-like symptoms while your body adjusts to use. If you experience any of the below, we recommend that you stop using the Helsi Red Light Product until the symptoms clear and consult with a healthcare professional. Work your way up from 2-3 minute sessions over the course of a few weeks until your body adapts.

- have had an adverse reaction to Red Light Therapy previously; or
- have recently had a steroid injections or use topical steroids,
If you fall under any of the above, you must not use a Helsi Red Light Product without the prior consent l of a qualified healthcare professional.
To check if you are sensitive to light, turn on the Helsi Red Light Product and shine the light on a single area of skin for 3-minutes to see if a reaction occurs. If redness appears or you develop a rash to the exposed area, please do not use the Helsi Red Light products and consult a qualified healthcare professional.
The potential risks of Red Light Therapy are minimal, such as temporary discomfort if prolonged exposure occurs to the eyes, however improper use can be harmful. Always follow the directions for use and consult a qualified medical professional to determine if Helsi Red Light Therapy is right for you. While Red Light Therapy has potential benefits, it’s also important to recognise that it’s not a cure-all for health. As a modern therapy, limited scientific evidence unfortunately means inconsistent outcomes for individuals.
We recommend using Helsi Red Light Therapy daily for 15-minutes, to receive optimal health benefits. If you would like to implement several treatments per day on the same areas, there should be at least a 6-hour interval between sessions, and we recommend no more than 4-10 sessions per week.
